Driver's License Medical Certificate

We provide medical consultation services for assessment of fitness to drive in accordance with the regulations issued by the Portuguese Transport Authority (IMT).

This appointment is directed to those procuring an Electronic Medical Certificate (official Transports Authority form) for taking up a driver's license for the first time, renewing an expiring license or transferring a driver's license from another country to Portugal's.

A medical consultation is conducted in order to assess physical and mental fitness for driving. If you are procuring a driver's license to work on a professional capacity or other role under which stricter evaluation is required, you should also take Driver's License Psychological Evaluation. We can provide you with this service as well.
